Since he was a child, Andreas enjoyed fishing in the habour of Latchi and then on his own boat called `Arsinoe`. Due to his excursions and enjoyment of fishing, he decided to share the fresh fish that he caught with both local people and tourists who visited the region.
In 1986, Arsione Fish Tavern was opened. Andreas´ wife, Konstantina prepared the fresh fish and sea food, whilst Andreas was responsible for the service and catching the fresh fish around the Akamas peninsula.
Their daughter, Maria, joined her mother in the kitchen and learnt how to cook these delicious traditional meals. When her parents retired, Maria took over the restaurant together with her husband Dimitris.
Nowadays, Maria is the chef and Dimitris regales the customers not only with delicious food but also with typical Cypriot hospitality.
